Acts that seem normal such as shaving, putting on makeup or even brushing your teeth could trigger the attack. It is often localized but over time it will spread and will cover a wider area. There are many ways to treat the disease. There is now Trigeminal Neuralgia medication and also there is Trigeminal Neuralgia surgery. Each of these is able to add some amount of relief to person who continue to live with the condition. It is estimated that one in 15,000 people suffer from this condition. It usually develops when people are in their 40’s but it is known to afflict people earlier.
